Post 9: Seven Weeks to Go

Didn't get a ton of work done this week. I tried at the very least starting the rest of my shots that way November could be dedicated to polishing for me. I still have one or two shots I haven't started yet which isn't too bad in my opinion. It's still weird to think that I have about 7 weeks to finish this though. It seems like a lot, but not really at the same time.

One of the shots I worked on was the dragon waking up. We get a close up of it's eye. I was really bummed out that most of my Friday was focusing on this single shot. I was hoping to block it out real quick then move on to more important shots, but sadly this one ended up sucking up most of my time. I kept getting a lot of feedback partway through animating. Next time I'll tell people to hold their suggestions until AFTER I've actually completed what I was trying to do.

Anyway, I was wondering...

  • Should the eye be centered or off center?
  • Should the dragon wake up suddenly more shocked or more casual/sleepy?
  • Should the eye look around or directly face the camera?
